1. What is Shop@Zim?
Shop@Zim is Zimbabwe's official business-to-business (B2B) export platform developed by ZimTrade, the national trade development and promotion organization. The platform showcases authentic Zimbabwean products and suppliers, helping international buyers connect directly with verified local exporters.
2. What kind of products are listed on Shop@Zim?
Shop@Zim features Zimbabwean products only, across sectors such as agriculture, processed foods, textiles, leather, crafts, manufacturing, and more. Each product is supplied by a registered Zimbabwean company.
3. Can I buy products directly on the platform?
No. Shop@Zim is not a transactional platform. It facilitates connections and trade discussions between buyers and suppliers. All financial transactions and shipping arrangements occur outside the platform, with support and guidance available from ZimTrade.
4. How do I connect with suppliers?
Buyers can connect with suppliers in two ways: (1) Using the contact details displayed on the supplier's profile, or (2) Sending a Request for Quotation (RFQ) directly through the platform to start discussions.
5. Are suppliers verified?
Yes. All suppliers listed on Shop@Zim are verified by ZimTrade to ensure they meet export standards and can deliver products suitable for international markets.
6. Who can use Shop@Zim?
Shop@Zim is designed for business buyers, importers, distributors, and wholesalers seeking to source products from Zimbabwe. It is not intended for individual or retail purchases.
7. How are payments and shipping handled?
Payments and shipping are arranged directly between the buyer and the supplier. Shop@Zim can provide guidance on export procedures and recommend trusted logistics partners such as DHL and FedEx.
8. Do suppliers have return or refund policies?
Yes. Each supplier may specify their own return or refund policy on their profile. Any agreements related to returns, exchanges, or refunds are handled directly between the buyer and supplier.
9. Is registration required?
Yes. Buyers and suppliers are encouraged to create accounts to access full platform features, including RFQs, supplier communication, and product inquiries.
10. How does Shop@Zim ensure trust between buyers and suppliers?
Shop@Zim lists verified and export-ready Zimbabwean companies only. ZimTrade also supports both parties through trade facilitation, communication guidance, and information on export standards and documentation.
